Aleah Schepps is a Santa Barbara based photographer who delights in the documentation of love.

Aleah’s photojournalistic style attempts to tell the stories of intimacy and connection that organically unfold before her. It is her hope that when you get your gallery back, you can remember the emotions behind the images, giving you a tangible momento to pair with the memories you already carry. Aleah uses the mediums of film and digital to seek unconventional compositions and ALL the best light.

When not behind the camera, Aleah takes joy in spending time outside with her partner, setting a beautiful table for her friends, writing lists, designing clothing, experimenting in the kitchen, and creating with her hands.

Work Experience

  • April 2021-Present

    Aleah has worked with Ali Beck Photography for four years and counting. She photographs couples, food, and lifestyle in Santa Barbara, California under the Ali Beck brand. Aleah is a lead associate on the Ali Beck team, and she was promoted as the director of associates in December 2023. Aleah has managed the Ali Beck office and the four other Ali Beck associates, in addition to working on the back-end with clients.

    Aleah can be found photographing a wedding in the Santa Ynez valley, chatting with a potential client, editing an associate gallery, or shooting a new seasonal menu at an ACME restaurant.

  • June 2022-Present

    Aleah co-launched a linen workwear company in August 2024. As a start up co-founder, Aleah has worn many hats including garment designer, sourcing specialist, brand photoshoot coordinator, marketing expert, launch party planner, and publication designer. Aleah designed and published the first volume of a brand magazine, fulfills orders, and works directly with pattern designers and manufacturers. While the first collection predominantly sold out, Aleah is currently working with her partners on designing the second collection for a spring 2025 release.

  • May-Septemeber 2021

    Aleah interned for the marketing department of Campovans, fulfilling orders and creating content for social media. This position required proficiency in Excel, Shopify, and SEO analysis, in addition to curating original content across Campovans social media accounts.

  • Aleah interned at CATLab, a tech startup which proposes data solutions for higher education institutions. As a member of the Creative Team, she directed content creation with her skills in photography and publication design. This position required proficiency in lightroom, indesign, canva, and layout design, and culminated in the publication of an annual magazine.
